Balance the scale together to make Rotterdam a cleaner place to live in

The streets of Rotterdam are often filled with litter. This is not only really bad for the environment but it also ruins the street view. Not only household waste is a problem in Rotterdam but also smaller waste can be a big problem in public areas and parks. People are not motivated enough to throw away their trash properly. How can we make this more seductive and fun?

This scale is placed to make the simple task of throwing away your trash playfully and more attractive. When putting something in one of the bins you are participating in something bigger than the task.

The game is to make the scale even. Think twice before throwing in your trash. This way the participant is being more mindful of the task they are doing. On each side of the scale are two clear trash bags. This is so you can see clearly what the participants before you have thrown in and so the participant can feel more connected to the other participants.
